Every soul shall have a Taste of Death.

Just like how we were all ones brought in to this Dunya, there will come a day when our souls have to depart as well. We don’t know when or where it shall happen, but we know for a fact that Death, is certain.

Allah says in the Qur’an:

"Every soul shall have taste of death; In the end to us shall ye be brought back
.(Surah Al-'Ankabut 29:57)

The reason why Allah created us is to worship Him and Him alone. This Is the only main purpose of our lives in this Dunya. We were created for Allah and not for the world. Keep In mind that the joy of this world would lead you no where but to the deepest pit of Jahannam. The life of this world is entirely nothing compared to the everlasting life of the Aakhira, so why waste and take pleasure of all the joys here than when you can there? The life of this world is just for a short while which only gives you mere satisfaction.

Allah says in the Qura’n:

"O my People! This life of the present is nothing but (temporary) convenience. It is the Hereafter that is the Home that will last. "(Surah Al Mu'min -The Believer: (40 39)

But one day you will have to leave all these behind and face your Rabb, The Lord of the Worlds! Your money, beauty, your loved ones, nothing is going to come with you into your graves except for your good deeds. You will be a body of no life. On that day you will be washed and wrapped in a clean, white cloth and buried after the Janazah prayer. You will be known to everyone as “Mayyath” considered, no more a living soul, that all, your life ends and your soul will not be apart of this Dunya. You will have no time to get back and collect your deeds and please Allah again, your life is done and all you have left is to face Allah. Our life here is a trial for us, it is given for us to prepare for the life that is to come after death. While life and death are from Allah, we have to remember that they are to take place with the permission of Allah alone. Each one's life and death are decided by Allah.

It is stated in the Qur'aan

"Nor can a soul die except by God as leave, the term being fixed as by writing. Many do desire a reward in this life, we shall give it to him, and if any do desire a reward In the hereafter, we shall give it to him. And swiftly shall we reward those that (serve us with) gratitude. "(Surah Al-'Imran - 3:145)

The thought of death should always be present in our hearts, we should live our lives to earn the success of the Aakhira. Don’t increase the love of this Dunya for the loss of the Aakhira. Think of death every minute, for verily the thought of death helps you avoid committing a sin In sha Allah! A true Muslim with good Imaan will wait for his death and prepares for it.
