SKIN TIGHT CLOTHING AND ABAYA ALLOWED IN ISLAM?

The reason why Allah Subhana Wa Ta'la blessed us Muslim women with the Abaya/Hijaab and Niqaab is because He the Most Merciful loves us and wants us to be protected from the Fitnah of this Dunya. Allah says:

O children of Adam! Verily, We have bestowed upon you clothing to cover your sh ame as well as to be an adornment to you.... (7:26)

By covering ourselves we gain nothing but good. But sadly, it is not the case today, Muslim women now wear the Abaya/Hijaab as an article of "Fashion" rather than understanding the inner beauty and value of it, Subhanallah! We have been blessed with this covering to guard our modesty and protect ourselves from being observed by the opposite gender, but this is not being followed now, some sisters wear skin tight clothing now allowing the shape of their body to be shown. This clearly shows that this is an act of the west, and the sad part is that we Muslims, Slaves of Allah are blindly following the west. It is stated in a Hadith:

The one who follows the nation is not from among us.

To add further, it is more upsetting to see sisters wearing skin fitting Abaya when the only purpose of wearing the Abaya is to hide the shape of our body. This clothing was worn by our beloved Sahabi women too, in a manner more modest and dignified.

HADITH ABOUT WOMEN WEARING TIGHT CLOTHING.

1- The Prophet (saws) said:

"There will be, in the last days of my Ummah (nation), women who are dressed and undressed. Curse them: they are accursed." Al-Tabarani

2- Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger, of Allah (peace be on him) said,

I will not be a witness for two types of people who are destined for the Fire: people with whips, like the tails of cows, who beat the people (i.e., tyrannical rulers who are the enemies of their own people), and women who, although clothed, are yet naked, seducing and being seduced, their hair styled like the tilted humps of camels. These will not enter the Garden nor will its fragrance even reach them, although its fragrance reaches a very great distance. (Reported by Muslim.)

3- Abu Dawood narrates:

`Aishah (RAA) said: "Asmaa' the daughter of Abu Bakr (RAA) came to see the Messenger of Allah (SAAWS) wearing a thin dress; so Allah's Messenger (SAAWS) turned away from her and said: O Asmaa', once a woman reaches the age of menstruation, no part of her body should be seen but this-and he pointed to his face and hands.

It is only when you have true Imaan, you will realize the need and love to be covered up completely and gaurd your modesty. It is stated in a Hadith:

The Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said: Belief and modesty are tied together, if one leaves, the other leaves too." - [Hakim].

This shows that modesty and Faith go hand in hand, if you let go of one, then the other leaves too, in the end, what will you be left with? It is only the WRATH OF ALLAH SUBHANA WA TA'LA.

THE CLOTHING OF MUSLIM WOMEN SHOULD NOT BE OSTENTATIOUS (SHOWY)

1-  The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said: Whoever wears a robe of fame in this world, Allah will dress him with a robe of disgrace on the day of Ressruction"- [Tirmidhi]

When you wear such clothing, please remember that it is of no value or benifit for you, and it is a way of pleasing Shaytaan "the outcast" and earning the displeasure and anger of Allah Azza wajal. What would you certainly prefer?? Take lessons from the Sahabi women, how modest they were, how much they feared the Wrath of Allah and how much they cared to guard their modesty. Think for a moment my sisters, should not we be like those honoured women, shoudn't we try and strive to win the Love of Allah by dressing modestly and loose clothing in a manner best pleasing to Allah?.

DRESS CODE FOR MUSLIM WOMEN ACCORDING TO THE QUR'AN.

1-  O children of Adam, we have provided you with garments to cover your bodies, as well as for luxury. But the best garment is the garment of righteousness. These are some of God's signs, that they may take heed. (7:26)

2- Tell the believing men that they shall subdue their eyes (and not stare at the women), and to maintain their chastity. This is purer for them. God is fully Cognizant of everything they do.
And tell the believing women to subdue their eyes, and maintain their chastity. They shall not reveal any parts of their bodies, except that which is necessary. They shall cover their chests, and shall not relax this code in the presence of other than their husbands, their fathers, the fathers of their husbands, their sons, the sons of their husbands, their brothers, the sons of their brothers, the sons of their They shall not strike their feet when they walk in order to shake and reveal certain details of their bodies. All of you shall repent to God, O you believers, that you may succeed.* (24:30-31)

3- O prophet, tell your wives, your daughters, and the wives of the believers that they shall lengthen their garments. Thus, they will be recognized (as righteous women) and avoid being insulted. God is Forgiver, Most Merciful. (33:59)

The clothing of this Dunya is of no use compared to that of the Aakhira. You dress in Dunya to please Allah according to the ways of Islam and you shall be cothed with better clothing in Jannah In sha Allah!

THE CLOTHING OF THE DWELLERS OF PARADISE.

1- They have deserved gardens of Eden wherein rivers flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold, and will wear clothes of green silk and velvet, and will rest on comfortable furnishings. What a wonderful reward; what a wonderful abode! (18:31)

2- God will admit those who believe and lead a righteous life into gardens with flowing streams. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold, and pearls, and their garments therein will be silk. (22:23)

3- On them will be clothes of green velvet, satin, and silver ornaments. Their Lord will provide them with pure drinks. (76:21)

Remembers sisters, after reading this, you still choose to wear tight-fitting clothing, you are responsible and answerable to Allah.

May Allah forgive me if I have  missed on anything that should be covered about the dress code of Muslim Women. Please let me know if I have missed on any topic and forgive me if I have told anything wrong.

Assalamu alaykum warhmathullahi wabarakathuhu!
